Angelina Spencer-Crisp is the CEO of Empowerment Enterprises, Inc. a Washington D.C. based consulting firm that works with military, governmental, and nonprofit entities, including special federal agents at the Dept. of Homeland Security Investigations on national security policy and programs. Her advocacy against human trafficking was featured in Homeland Security's Federal Blue Campaign Newsletter on Capitol Hill in 2011 and she was a 2015 Homeland Security Director's Service Award Nominee, meeting the mandates of the White House and Congress, in the battle against human trafficking. She co-founded a COAST program that teaches strip club workers how to recognize and report potential victims to federal, state or local law enforcement. Her work has taken her to Mexico, Europe, Central America and Moscow. She is currently working with a private VA based national security firm and the DHS Directorate of Science & Technology on an anti-human trafficking foundational effort to better allocate federal resources toward direct services for human trafficking victims. Angelina graduated summa cum laude from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio. She earned her master's degree and was co-valedictorian at the George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management, and in August 2016, earned the highest marks at University of Oxford, Exeter College International Summer Students writing program. She has signed with 2Portal Publishing for her first novel, "Red Bird" by (pen name) B.A. Crisp. Angelina and her husband, a Collier County, FL, law enforcement officer, have six children and one grandchild.
