Why do you need to have difficult conversations? Many people shy away from challenging or difficult conversations. They avoid them or make excuses as to why they don’t need to have that difficult conversation.Instead, they may try to leave “clues” in the hope the other person will pick up on those clues and change their behaviour. This rarely works.Difficult conversations are a necessary part of your personal and professional life. As a leader, rather than avoiding them, you need to tackle them head on. When you do, you feel empowered. Because you’re no longer taking a passive approach to life allowing a difficult situation to continue. You’re dealing with it in an assertive way.There are many reasons as to why you need to have difficult conversations.
