Welcome to another episode of Mr. Therapist & The Counselor Podcast. This week we discuss the importance of managing expectations in early sobriety. Do you have a drinking or drug problem? Are you newly sober? This is a very delicate time for those early in their sobriety journey. If you want to successfully overcome addiction you have to have patience with the process. That means having patience with those who you hurt along the way. People may not be ready to forgive you right away. People might not trust you for a while. And that's okay, it doesn't mean you're not moving forward. Keep you eye on the prize, and continue one, eventually people will learn to trust you again.
