067: How To Stop Feeling Overwhelmed

from Do Life Big · host Kathi Reuter

As we're cruising towards the end of the year and diving headfirst into the holiday madness, it's like life just cranks up the chaos, right?  Tech buzzing, responsibilities piling up, and that to-do list? Never seems to end. But here's the deal – it's not just messing with your head; it's doing a number on your body too. 😅 So, I spilled the beans on this latest Do Life Big Podcast episode. I spilled about my own journey figuring out that overwhelm isn't some external villain but more like our own thought drama playing on repeat. It's all about the stories we cook up in our minds. 🧠 And guess what? I also threw in some practical strategies to shake off that overwhelm: 🌬️ Breathe More: Seriously, take a few minutes each day to just focus on breathing. Give yourself a mini vacay, like two to three minutes, to kick back and just breathe. 🎯 One Thing at a Time: Master the art of zeroing in on one task at a time. Sort that to-do list and hit up one thing at a time for some A+ time management. 💼 Boss Decision-Making: Organize your to-do list by urgency. Tackle those must-do tasks today or in the next couple of days. Level up your prioritizing and decision-making game. 🚫 No More Juggling: Practice saying "No" to stuff that doesn't match your priorities. Don't drown in too many commitments – it's cool to keep it real and not take on the world. 😊 Do What Makes You Happy: Find stuff that brings you joy and sneak it into your day. Could be a hobby, a sport, or anything that gives your brain a breather. 📝 Write It Down: Instead of juggling everything in your noggin, jot down all the stressors. Helps you get those thoughts out, spot patterns, and take charge of the stress game. So, if you're feeling the weight of overwhelm, give this episode a listen. Remember, you're the boss of your story. Take a breath, sort your priorities, and focus on what truly lights you up. You're in control, and I believe in you! 🌟   Grab my FREE workbook, Think This, Not That - kathireuter.com/thinkthisnotthat   ⭐ Hey there! Thanks for listening! ⭐  Help me spread the word about Do Life Big!
