此外如既许信仰自由，却又特别尊孔；既自命“胜朝遗老”，却又在民国拿钱；既说是应该革新，却又主张复古：四面八方几乎都是二三重以至多重的事物，每重又各各自相矛盾。一切人便都在这矛盾中间，互相抱怨着过活，谁也没有好处。要想进步，要想太平，总得连根的拔去了“二重思想”。因为世界虽然不小，但彷徨的人种，是终竟寻不出位置的。
