Hoy en la Agenda Cofrade de Juan Ortega hemos contado con la visita de la Cofrade Mayor de la Purísima, Carmela Jiménez, y de la Hermana Mayor de este año, Antonia Pedraza, a sólo unas horas de que mañana 8 de diciembre la villa de Puente Genil, representada por su alcalde, Sergio Velasco, renueve junto a las demás autoridades Civiles, Militares y el Clero y todos los presentes el Voto por el cual la Purísima Concepción fue nombrada Patrona de Puente Genil en el año 1650. En la entrevista la Cofrade Mayor de la Purísima, Carmela Jiménez, explicó que de cara al 375 aniversario de la declaración patronal que se celebrará en el año 2025 la cofradía está trabajando ya para colocar a la entrada de Puente Genil un monumento dedicado a la Virgen. A falta de conocer más detalles, el monumento se instalaría en la rotonda ubicada junto a Carrefour, y consistiría en una columna triunfal sobre la que se colocaría una reproducción de la imagen.
