07| Content Consistency Built This Business

from Content Built THIS Podcast · host Leeon George/ The Content Magnet

In this episode I share how to be more consistent with your content so you can grow a business you're obsessed with.  1.     Being okay with imperfect contentOne of my clients said I gotta thank you Leeon for allowing me to break free from the shackles of perfect content and ofcourse I laughed because this is what you need to do inorder to be consistent with content. Perfect content tells you, that you need to have your hair done, the right lighting, the most professional clothing, know what to say and say it in a smooth natural way, edit it professionally and have the best caption in order to post the content. This is going to slow you down because unless you’ve met your version of perfection, it won’t be posted andconsistency is not going to be reached. But imperfect content is where you say thisis not perfect but it’s good enough, it’s good enough to impact at least one person’s life, it’s good enough to result in a message, it’s good enough to add to my brand, it’s good enough to be consumed and enjoyed. Perfection is also subjective so while you’re stressing about creating a perfect video, I can assure you it won’t beperfect for someone else. So instead of focusing on creating perfect 10/10 content pieces, how about you aim for good enough. I always joke with a specific client and tell her, stop aiming for A+ with your content, aim for a Cand get it out. Because the truth is, you won’t know if it’s an A+ until you post it and what you see as a C, can actually be an A+ for the right person… yafollowing? 2.      Media SystemsCreate a system for photos and videos, as this is one of the biggest stumbling blocks to creating content consistently. A lot of you want to create content all the time but it takes too long because you have to record the video and may not have the time to do that, you alsowant to create a storytelling vlog but don’t have the right clips so to ensure you don’t face this hurdle, there’s 3 types of media every coach or serviceprovider should have to ensure content is created faster and this helps with consistency. 3.  Create a recurring content hour This is where you putin your calendar a dedicated hour or two for a specific content task. Ensurethis is a weekly event even if you don’t know what you’re going to do eachweek. What this may looklike is saying Monday evenings from 5pm-6pm is my content hour. What this doesis that it prioritizing content like you would for a meeting or obligation. It also allows you touse this time to do your most pressing content task. The truth is if you don’tgive content a time it can take forever. Even as I’m recording this podcastepisode, I gave myself 60 minutes to record 2 episodes, this is literally all Ihave before I have to leave my house. So you know what’s going to happen, I’mgoing to get it done faster and in a more focused way vs if I had an entire dayto record this podcast. You can use yourcontent hour to brainstorm content ideas for the month, edit videos yourecorded previously, writing captions, scheduling posts, auditing your pastcontent. What matters most is that this is focused undisturbed time to work oncontent. That’s how you becomemore consistent with content, you need to make it part of your schedule also.  One of the reasonspersons join my Content Retainer Service is because this makes it easy for themto be consistent. They’re able to let me and my team help themcreate months of content without it adding more to their to-do lists.Join Content Retainer Service: https://thecontentmagnet.co/retainer/LINKS:Email list: https://dashboard.mailerlite.com/form...Instagram: instagram.com/thecontentmagnet/Website: https://thecontentmagnet.co/For business collabs and speaking opportunities: [email protected]
