07. The power of connection with presence

In this episode, I share an experience I had with a young woman whom I had a deep connection with beyond the "how are you" and the smile. What does it take to listen and observe? How much do you give someone the space to talk and just be present with them? Often times we get the need to talk or interrupt, think about what to reply next, or react to what is being told to us. Can we practice being present, physically and mentally when someone is talking with us? Even if language is a barrier, words are less important than the way someone is delivering their message to you whether it's hand gestures, eye contact, body language and even their energy and how focused or away they really are. Next time you're talking with someone, try this instead and see how much you can actually get and see beyond their words, try understanding and giving them your purest attention. So many people in this world need someone who listens to them fully, presently, and with all senses including myself.
