070 - Post-Combine with Anthony Amico

Episode 70: Post-Combine with Anthony Amico Sponsored by the Fan Controlled Football League Host Greg Smith (@gregsauce) welcomes Anthony Amico (@amicsta) of RotoViz and TwoQBs to catch up on happenings at the NFL Combine and other news from the fantasy world. They kick off the show with a discussion of overlap between fantasy football and fantasy baseball (1:21), then they check in on the trade of Tyrod Taylor to the Cleveland Browns (9:15). The balance of the episode is largely geared toward incoming rookies, starting with a comparison of 2QB rookie draft ADP to Anthony's rookie quarterback rankings (15:16). Anthony explains why Baker Mayfield's hand size shouldn't be a concern, and he makes the case for Lamar Jackson to rank higher than Mayfield in one-quarterback formats. Diving a little deeper, your hosts examine Logan Woodside and Quinton Flowers, then talk more generally about how to find value at the QB position in rookie drafts. The show closes out with non-quarterback rookie analysis (35:29), including looks at Calvin Ridley, Mike Gesicki, Royce Freeman, Ken Ballage, and D.J. Moore, plus discussion of veteran tight ends to target within the context of a poor rookie class at the position.
