In today’s episode Lexi, Jo, and Vicki share their perspectives on toxic positivity (especially in regards to working with the law of attraction) and the importance of being honest with ourselves versus buying into a false sense of self, masking emotions, or manipulating the truth to keep up appearances. There are so many ways in which acting "as if" can work for or against us.  We constantly witness the miracle-style results that happen when our Students act "as if" and how doing so helps them collapse the timelines to experience their desired reality even sooner—so this magic is absolutely "real," especially when our thoughts, beliefs, actions, etc. are congruent with the identity we're embodying. On the flip side, we've also seen a high bar standard, or dare we say "rules," being set in our industry like you must make $10k a month or you're not successful...you must have a high contrast "before and after" story that wows people, etc. These "rules" make people feel like they have to show up in a certain way publicly—or else they won't get clients, be successful, yada yada. So they portray a certain image out in the world, but behind the scenes that (high bar) isn't necessarily congruent—eek! So...we've become super curious and are asking, what makes us want to deny ourselves and others of being fully embodied and expressed in our real, raw human experience—as it is—without the smoke and mirrors? If you're exploring this question yourself, you won’t want to miss this conversation!
