Dr. Ebenezer Okronipa   ENCOUNTERING JESUS An encounter with Jesus leaves a lasting impression and an indelible mark. WHO IS JESUS? Everything God does is for a cause. Scriptural references: Romans 1:26, 2 Thessalonians 2:22, John 12:27, John 18:37. TWO REASONS WHY JESUS CAME To put God in us, to put divinity in humanity (1 John 4:4, 10; 2 Corinthians 6:16; Colossians 1:27). To give us His life, eternal life (1 John 5:5-12). THE LIFE JESUS GAVE Zoe life: the nature of God, eternal life. The life Jesus gave us is the very life of God, changing our nature (2 Corinthians 5:17, James 1:18). HAVING AN ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS Believe in Him. Believe in His name. Seek Him through the word of God. CONCLUSION Encountering Jesus changes our source and nature. Understanding God in us makes a world of difference.
