She is a pastor, professor, master naturalist, and amateur birder. She spends most of her year in Costa Rica as the Program Coordinator of the Quetzal Education and Research Center which is a study abroad program run by Southern Nazarene University where she co-teaches Biblical Theology and Global Stewardship with her husband Caleb. She spends her free time with a pair of binoculars and the Merlin app trying to identify local birds.
