08. Tom Joyce

Welcome to Hypro Group Dusty Dogs Working Sheepdog Podcast: Series 1 – Training for 3 Sheep Trials In this Episode we meet Champion handler, Tom Joyce of South Australia. Along with his young family, Tom lives, works, owns and manages a sheep station. Tom’s recent entry to the world of 3 Sheep Trial competitions has been an impressively rapid rise, after only three years in the game he won his first Open, became both the State and Australian representative, heading to the 2023 New Zealand Trans Tasman – all with the first dog he trained, Oakdowns Sammy. Tom shares some thoughtful training advice, his methods, and insights on how we can all become better dog handlers. Find Dusty Dogs podcast on all your favourite podcast platforms!
