Honor is not a gift, but a virtue and culture we need to cultivate. IMPORTANCE OF HONOUR Honor is a powerful key for promotion in the kingdom. Dishonor can lead to negative consequences (Genesis 9:22-27). HOW HONOUR WORKS Honor is a law with rules and consequences (Proverbs 3:9). When applied correctly, it brings blessings and rewards. When applied wrongly, it brings punishment. WHO TO HONOUR God (1 Samuel 2:30) Parents Civil authority Elderly (Leviticus 19:32) One another Spouses Man of God HOW TO HONOUR Accepting them in your heart (Matthew 15:8) Standing with them Believing in their prayer and counsel Playing a significant role in their ministry (Matthew 26:13) Promoting their ministry (John 4:28-29) Being committed and loyal (2 Timothy 4:11) Giving and sharing material blessings BENEFITS OF HONOUR Great miracles Mighty works Proclamations of blessing Access to great places Long life CONCLUSION Honor is essential for blessedness and promotion in the kingdom of God.
