081: Nicky Siano

Nicky Siano is a true pioneer – a legend that has shaped the very DNA of dance music. Before the superstar DJs, before the mega-clubs, there was The Gallery and Studio 54 – and at the heart of it all? Nicky Siano, driving dancefloors wild with his flawless beat-matching across three decks. In our conversation, Nicky takes us back to where it all began – launching The Gallery and hiring future icons Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles, hosting stone-cold divas like Loleatta Holloway and Grace Jones, orchestrating the infamous Bianca Jagger birthday party at Studio 54, and reflecting on how the culture and community of this movement has kept it alive for generations.
