#083: The Lion King

Director Jon Favreau's THE LION KING uses photorealistic animation to remake the 1994 Disney animated film about a young lion who is tricked out of his rightful position as ruler of the pride. In recommendations, Mark Pfeiffer chooses James Bobin's children's adventure film DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD and Eric Mahoney's rock documentary BRAINIAC: TRANSMISSIONS AFTER ZERO. Paul Markoff picks Bennett Miller's true crime sports drama FOXCATCHER with Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, and Mark Ruffalo. Send your comments, questions, and feedback to [email protected].
