084: Burn it -- over and over and over again with Clara Harris

Episode 084. "Take a deep breath (it's going to be okay), and go for it because the other option is to not do it and going back to that physical sensation that you get in your body when you think about... not getting your voice out there... how does that feel physically?... Mother, avid cook, podcaster… I know Clara as a fellow speaker at She Podcasts Live in Atlanta where we both appear in the session entitled Fall In Love With Your Own Voice. When the topic of conversation is voice, chances are you'll wind up talking about much more than modulation, posture, and breathwork -- although Clara and I do touch on all those elements in this episode. Spoiler alert: if you're breathing right now, there's a good chance you're doing it wrong. Clara walks us through a few of the breathing practices she teaches her coaching clients. She also gives us a pep talk for getting over ourselves because everyone cringes the first (or thousandth) time they hear their voice played back (including me). Whether you prefer pep-talk or tough love, Clara serves both in equal measure in an effort to encourage everyone to do the thing -- whatever that thing might be.
