084: Forgiveness: Why is it so hard?
from Real Talk Christian Podcast · host realtalkchristianpodcast
Forgiveness. Over the centuries, Christians have been marked by this one simple word. All throughout Scripture, we read that Christians are supposed to forgive each other as God has forgiven us, to forgive our enemies, to forgive those who hurt us. This is a concept that we've been taught since childhood, but when it's time to forgive, it's one of the hardest things for us to do. In this episode of RTC, Marc and Fuller ask "why is it so hard to forgive?" In this conversation, they discuss how we should respond when we've been hurt, what it means to actually forgive, and how we can help others who have been hurt by someone else. They even discuss the popular phrase "forgive and forget" and if this phrase holds water. //Other Episodes That You May Enjoy// 052: Coffee Mug Christianity: https://realtalkchristianpodcast.com/episodes/052-coffee-mug-christianity/ 035: Friendship with Unbelievers: https://realtalkchristianpodcast.com/episodes/035-friendship-with-unbelievers/ 030: Is the church overusing it’s members?: https://realtalkchristianpodcast.com/episodes/030-is-the-church-overusing-its-members/ 019: When the Church Hurts You: https://realtalkchristianpodcast.com/episodes/019-when-the-church-hurts-you/ //Helpful Links// Mike Todd Sermon Illustration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENhZhucLGGg Got Questions?: https://www.gotquestions.org Dwell Bible App: https://dwellapp.io Cross Formed Kids from Ryan Coatney: https://crossformedkids.com RTC Quick Links: https://linktr.ee/realtalkchristianpodcast RTC Merch Store: https://real-talk-christian-podcast.creator-spring.com/ RTC Online: www.realtalkchristianpodcast.com //Music used on RTC// Opening Song: “Joy” by Paul Lindgren https://open.spotify.com/track/3VcYVaixPlAS1KDVgYo1Dy?si=TqSXguuVQNudJrkcRDDjIA Closing Song: “Adjust” by Paul Lindgren https://open.spotify.com/track/16VMY0XxHDo0bLpp6dQpuc?si=a1khJqYTTtWyzeQEbtYGXg
