At the federal, state and local level, Alan engages on food, agriculture, nutrition, rural economic development, food safety, trade and health issues. He is active in several trade and advocacy organizations and is a fearless writer, speaker and activist. Alan shares how his personal family story plays deeply into why he is so passionate about the work he’s doing.
