Kelsey and Jesse were blessed to get pregnant right away…although if Jesse had it his way they would have had a honeymoon baby! Then, working in an office of midwives, Kelsey was able to get her first time pregnancy questions answered daily, and in person. When the time came to give birth though, she was left feeling a little underprepared for the unmedicated birth she had hoped to have. Throw in an extremely strong epidural, a panic attack, and the dreaded pitocin and things just didn’t go as she imagined. For her second birth, she stepped up her preparation game by taking a more in-depth and faith based childbirth class, as well as preparing physically and spiritually, all of which greatly impacted her second labor where she was able to go unmedicated!
