09/02/2018 - Entering the Realm of Rest - Jim Baker

There was a physical rest in the Old Testament called the Sabbath that pictured a spiritual rest in the New Testament. It is a ceasing from trying to get something by our own efforts, in our own strength, and entering a realm of peace, trust and confidence that God will do what He said He would do. This doesn't mean Christians are to be passive, but we learn to strive to enter that realm of rest as the writer of Hebrews writes.
