09.08.17 - Joe Markham On The Ground Prepping For Hurricane Irma In South Florida

The photo is of Joe Markham late Friday standing in front of the countless cars stored in the Pinecrest Prep School garage to protect them from Hurricane Irma. Many back here in Virginia have vacation homes, family and friends in South Florida. Today I spoke with Joe Markham in Fort Lauderdale. Joe is the the long time Safety Director for Pinecrest Preparatory School there. His wife Dr, Dana Markham is the president of the school's two campuses. Joe and I were police officers together and worked as directors and co directors of our Emergency Management Agency back in Northwestern Tennessee. Joe tells us what it happening on the ground as far a preparations . This interview was late afternoon Friday. We will be speaking with him off and on during and after Irma has hit South Florida.
