The Shoebox Game of the Week - Week #6 featured a Big Eight clash with Verona at Madison Memorial. The Wildcats traveled to Mansfield Stadium looking to tear apart the Spartans unblemished record and their homecoming celebration. In a game that was delayed 30 minutes by thunderstorms, the Wildcats were clicking on all cylinders in the 1st half by scoring on the ground, through the air, and corralling the Spartans on defense. Verona adds a FG as time expired in 1st half to take a 24-7 lead into the locker room. The 2nd half belonged to Madison Memorial. Spartans HB Kabaris Vasser scores twice in the last 4+ mins including a 3yd 2nd effort stretch TD run as time expired in the 4th to push Memorial to 6-0. Final Score: Madison Memorial 27, Verona 24.
