Steve Friel is a proud Wyoming native hailing from a family with deep roots in the state. As a third generation Wyomingite, Steve has a profound appreciation for the rugged, beauty and independent spirit that characterizes the cowboy state. Steve's professional journey led him to serve his community for over 26 years in law enforcement. His unwavering dedication and commitment to public safety were evident throughout his career.Which culminated in his retirement as an esteemed assistant chief from the Casper Police Department. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in shaping departmental policies, implementing innovative crime prevention strategies, and fostering positive community relations. Recognized for his leadership qualities and passion for community development, Steve transitioned into public service and successfully served as both vice mayor and mayor in his beloved hometown Casper.Over two terms as mayor, he spearheaded various initiatives to enhance the quality of life for residents, prioritizing economic growth, infrastructure improvements, and sustainable development.Steve also occupied the role of a Natrona County Commissioner where he continued to contribute his invaluable expertise to the betterment of the entire county. In this position, he tackled a wide array of pressing issues ranging from public safety to land management, striving to ensure the well-being and prosperity of every citizen. Parallel to his public service endeavors, Steve has carved out a successful career in the real estate industry.His deep rooted love for Wyoming continues to drive his unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of his fellow fellow Wyomingites.
