09. The 8 Limbs of Yoga

from ĀIO: a road to peace · host Tarikura Kapea

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali were written around the 2nd century BCE and are some of the earliest texts written about yoga. The 8 Limb path is a foundational philosophy within the yogic world, it is rich in teachings and inspiration to guide us to living a more purposeful and ethical life. I am joined by Holly Davies, yoga teacher and lover of yogic philosophy and teachings. We unpack what the 8 Limbs are and their relevance to this time. We discuss how these limbs can support you in liberating your mind and how you can practice yoga on and off the mat. This piece feels like poetry, Holly is a magician with her words and speaks so eloquently about these teachings. It feels relatable and deeply humbling. What we cover:The 8 Limb Path of Yoga Exploring the different 'types' (or 'styles') of yoga A journey into how to become a yoga teacher How yoga can support you  Discount Code:Hot Yoga Lower Hutt & Wellington are offering Aio listeniners %20 off Yoga classes from October 18 - December 18 (2022) when you book ONLINE www.hotyogawellington.co.nz .
