093: “What If" Something Good

from Time to Pivot

When tragedy strikes, or maybe just everyday anxiety, let’s start adding positive thoughts to our “what if” questions and watch the blessings flow in.I keep hearing Alanis Morissette's “Ironic” playing in my 90’s kid head when I think about the irony of the last two podcast episodes I recorded before the tragic Palisades wildfires burned our home and left our city in ruins. Did I seriously record an episode about “GO Time!” and now one about remaining optimistic when hit with unimaginable, life-changing loss? I can’t help but reflect on my last-minute word-of-the-year that I kept feeling pulled to the night before the unexpected fires, while at my friend’s home (that burned to the ground the next day) for Bible Study. The word ENDURANCE, which I mentioned in this episode, recorded the day before the fire, felt like the word I would need for 2025 although, at the time, I had no idea why. Again…the irony!!! You can’t make this stuff up.Here’s the verse and prayer by the apostle Paul for the Colossians that sealed the deal for me when doing my research on what the Bible says about endurance. Colossians 1:11(not lost on me that the verse has three 1’s)“being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience.”Highlights:(06:05) Making good choices in 2025(08:05) Some motivation from Brendan Burchard(14:17) Maybe this was all part of a plan(16:01) Shifting the way we’re thinking(21:53) What’s waiting for you in 2025?Get support here:CA Wildfire Resource linksFree Confidential 24/7 CRISIS TEXT LINE FOR Mental health Support - text HOME TO 741741Ready to put your story or expertise into a book, podcast, or share it from the stage and curious about how it works? Let’s schedule a call to discuss it.If you’re enjoying the Time To Pivot podcast, I’d love for you to scroll down to ‘write a review’ on Apple Podcasts, hit that 5th star, share it on social, and tag me @everythingwithstylemom so I can thank you for listening! Helpful links:Let’s TALK! View my SERVICES. Text PIVOT to 213-325-4600.Get my BOOK/AUDIOBOOK on Amazon.Need a SPEAKER for your next event?Connect on Instagram @EverythingWithStyleMom& on TikTok @everythingwithstylemom.Get helpful videos on my YOUTUBE Channel.Find more resources at EverythingWithStyle.com.
