097 Jim and Pat Ferguson Volunteer Youth Workers World Wide Impact

from Youth Worker On Fire Podcast · host Doug Edwards

Jim and Pat met in South Florida. She was a cheerleader, he was a football player. Sounds like an all American love story and it was. But there were a lot of twists and turns through out the years. They would later be some of my wife's volunteer youth workers all before I met her in Lake County Florida, the back door to Disney World. Their 2 children Matt and Kim would be a part of our student ministry almost 10 years later. Jim and Pat would become a force in foreign missions taking people from the USA, our student ministry included. Their children and grand children would be a major part of Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC and Franklin Graham/s Ministry Samaritans Purse in Boone, NC as time keeps moving forward. Here is a normal American family that has done some Extraordinary works for the Kingdom of God because they would keep saying yes to God and their family learned to follow in their parents and grandparents footsteps. This is NOT a sweet little story. this story was born out of pain, failures, blood sweat and tears and a whole lot of prayer. These are some of the toughest people you will ever meet and unless you asked them, like I did, you would never know the courages acts of service their family has performed and they still give God the credit above all else and the Miracle of just showing up.
