It is really worth adding to any tour of the UK, just 1.5 hours from London, it is a working base for the Royal Navy and you can tour 3 important battleships: HMS Victory (Lord Nelson's ship), HMS Warrior (1st steam battleship) and mary Rose. The Mary Rose was Henry VIII's battleship and is over 500 years old which was sunk in battle. Discovered in 1972, raised in 1982 and then protected and only open to public view on 31 May 2013.
