1/18/26 - From the Fast to the Fight

As this season of fasting comes to a close, this message calls us to remember two life-shaping truths: God is with you because God is within you, and genuine faith must always be lived out in action. Drawing from Jacob’s encounter at Bethel, we are reminded that God’s presence is not confined to a place but revealed to a people who awaken to Him, and through the Apostle Paul we are challenged to see ourselves as the holy temple where His Spirit dwells. From David’s courageous stand against Goliath to James’ clear teaching that faith without works is dead, this sermon proclaims that trusting God is never passive—it moves us forward in obedience, courage, and confidence that the battle belongs to the Lord. As the fast ends, we are called not to retreat, but to rise, act on our faith, and walk boldly in the assurance that God is faithful to keep every promise He has made.
