(Première partie) Le 5 juillet 1981, un agriculteur de l’Yonne découvre des ossements dans un hangar de son exploitation. Ils appartiennent au cadavre d’une femme. Depuis combien de temps gît-elle sous ce fumier ? Impossible de dater la mort, ni d’identifier le corps qui a passé trop de temps enseveli.Le gendarme qui dirige l’enquête, a alors l’idée de recenser toutes les disparitions inquiétantes qui ont eu lieu ces dernières années dans les environs. Il remarque dans cette liste une troublante similitude : plusieurs jeunes femmes qui ont disparu dans le département entre 1977 et 1979 étaient prises en charge par l’Aide sociale à l’enfance.Le dénominateur commun de toutes ces affaires non élucidées semble être un chauffeur de car de 47 ans. Lui-même ancien enfant de la DASS, il assurait notamment le transport des jeunes femmes depuis leur famille d’accueil jusqu’aux centres médico-éducatifs.
