After a rough experience as a head coach for two NFL teams, Carroll achieved great success (including two national championships) with USC .... and then achieved comparable success with his return to the NFL as head coach of the Seattle Seahawks. The book examines the ways in which Carroll earned a reputation as a 'player's coach.'
