Canon Benjamin Norman, ICKSP currently serves as Representative of the Institute of Christ the King at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Oakland, California. He was ordained in 2018.     In Today's Show: What are your thoughts on the Taizé community? Is the purple scapular approved by the Catholic Church? I am getting different answers from different sources. What about the green scapular? What do priests normally do to stay healthy physically?  The Bible says the body is a temple. What type of exercise and eating habits, etc. do priests practice on a regular basis? Is it customary to bow for the priest when he walks by during the entrance and exit processions? Also, my son is six and has not received his first Communion. Should I bring him to the Communion rail for a blessing? I'm a religious education teacher. What are the top two or three things that I should make sure the kids learn? If they forget everything else, what are those couple things that I should really make sure they never forget? Where is the best place to start for someone looking into a vocation? I have a question based on Mark 2:2-11. Didn't Jesus know that a paralytic man was about to be lowered through the roof before he was? If he knew that he was going to, why didn't he let them through the door? What is the best way to consolidate as many familiar departed souls as possible during Mass on a regular basis? Are the lit candles during Mass an important means of helping many at the same time? I just recently found out that New Year's Day is a Holy Day of Obligation. I don't think I went to Mass that day in 2023. Do I need to go to confession even if I didn't know it was a Holy Day?
