A first-Sunday-of-the-year message from guest speaker Lance Hurley—of Ignite Church Planting, the organization that helped start Lifewell—on how to live ready for whatever the year brings. Working from Colossians 4:2–6, written by Paul under house arrest, the teaching lays out three habits. Prayer is the foundation that charges everything else; wisdom toward "outsiders" means making the most of every opportunity and praying for one person to love; and speech "seasoned with salt" heals, protects, and preserves. Threaded with stories from his own week, the call is practical: listen to Jesus in Scripture, pray for one, and then step into the opportunity when it comes.
