Today, we're talking about my (Patrick's) favorite independent film: Cinema Paradiso. This film follows Salvatore, aka Toto, returning to his hometown for the funeral of local movie theater film projectionist, Alfredo. Told through flashbacks and present times, we follow Toto discover his love for film and the events that follow.Cinema Paradiso is a personal reminder that love comes in various forms, and to never stop following your dreams. We have one life, and it's worth to make every moment count.Paired with this beloved film, we chose Cantine Colosi Nero D’Avola, a Sicilian wine from a region near the home of the film. This is a dry, full bodied wine with an engaging personality. With its dark red fruitiness and hints of cherry, it is a wine that is best shared in good company .
