Episode 1 of the Ruminati's podcast! Adele Hite, PhD, MPH, RDN I met Adele ten years ago and I've benefited from her insight and knowledge ever since. I couldn't think of a better person to start my podcast!  "Adele Hite, PhD MPH RD is a registered dietitian with a masters’ degree in public health nutrition and a PhD in rhetoric, communication, and digital media. She also has extensive graduate training in nutritional epidemiology. "Dr. Hite’s doctoral work in rhetoric, communication, and digital media centered on the historical, political, and sociocultural contexts surrounding the creation and evolution of the U.S. Dietary Guidelines for Americans. As many people are now learning, the first 1980 Dietary Guidelines were not based on a substantial body of scientific evidence. Hite’s dissertation explores the forces that helped to shape how and why the Dietary Guidelines define what a “healthy diet” is." From Adele's DietDoctor. com bio - https://www.dietdoctor.com/authors/adele-hite Adele Hite is on Twitter and LinkedIn. Her blog is https://eathropology.com/ If you want to contact Adele Hite you can also send an email to [email protected]. Please note that she can’t give personal medical advice about diet or health via email. (The glitch toward the end was due to an interruption in our Zoom connection. Hopefully that won't happen in the future...)
