"It's bad enough going for your own smear test, let alone someone else's!" said a friend of mine when I told her I'd been invited to record a smear test for this podcast. But going for your smear is never a bad thing as Athena Lamnisos explains in this episode after she'd kindly invited me along to hers. Athena is CEO of The Eve Appeal, the UK's Gynaecological Cancer Research Charity. She is passionate about women's gynae health and thinks we should all stop using silly words to describe our intimate body parts.
