1. Divorce & the Creation of the World – Mark 10:1-12

When Jesus was asked a question about whether divorce for any reason was permitted in Scripture, he brought up two passages that don't even mention divorce. And his reason for doing that teaches volumes on how we are to interpret Scripture—as well as providing deep insight into the nature and wonder of marriage. In this verse-by-verse expository sermon from Mark 10:1–12, Jesus is tested by the Pharisees on the subject of divorce—but instead of debating loopholes, He takes them back to Genesis. By pointing to God's original design for male and female, Jesus reveals the purpose of marriage, the seriousness of divorce, and the divine nature of the marital bond.
