1 Euro Homes - Italy's Latest Town on the Market: Sant'Elia a Pianisi

Even more 1 Euro Homes are now on the market in Sant'Elia a Pianisi, a small town in southern Italy. Of course, just like many other towns that make homes available for 1 Euro, it is not just as simple as purchasing a house for 1 Euro... Interested buyers must meet certain requirements and file an application with the town hall. Then the town hall will select applicants based on the best renovation plan proposals and bid that are most aligned to the town's guidelines. In Sant'Elia a Pianisi there are currently only eight houses that are available which seem to require heavy renovation work. While the price can be one Euro, the bid process means that it will probably not be sold at that price. However, the purpose of the initiative is to repopulate the town and revitalize some homes that may have been empty for a long time.
