1 John 2:18 - The Last Hour and Antichrist

Most Christians today would say that we are living in the last days; we are in the last hour. This is a commonly held view.  But we have to ask questions like when are the last days or end times and when is the last hour? The last hour is the end of the last days or end times. So, when did the last day start? When did they end?  The last days of what?
