1 John #9 - How Do You Know You Are Saved?

Personal strength, knowledge and church membership cannot prove salvation. John points instead to new birth that produces belief in Jesus as God’s saving Son. That new life also shows itself in love for other Christians and willing obedience to God’s commands. Faith is empty hands reaching towards the cross because Jesus has already won the victory.
