When we do things God’s way, it leads to a place where it gets the world’s attention. A society run the way the Lord intends is very transforming and wonderful. According to Ethiopian legend - The queen stayed with Solomon six months, and the Queen had a son called Menilek to Solomon after returning home.Jewish legends also has a similar story saying Solomon and The Queen had a child. This child became the king of Ethiopia. Many modern scholars think the Queen came from Sheba and connect that with modern Yemen, and yet Josephus the historian said she came from Ethiopia. Jesus called her the Queen of the South, which could refer to either place, but Ethiopia is more south, than Yemen. Just as David had a good part of his life and a bad part, so Solomon.The difference was that David’s bad part was the consequences which followed one terrible choice, whereas Solomon’s terrible part had no consequences in his lifetime and consisted of many terrible choices. So what is better, consequences now that we notice, or no consequences now? Solomon’s life ended full of disappointment despite having had everything he wished.Both the Song of Solomon and the book of Ecclesiasters demonstrate that he didn’t not follow his own wisdom as recorded in the book of Proverbs.
