1 Peter 1:1-12.

In John 1, this is where Peter mets Jesus. Peter was one of John’s disciples. John 1:35-42 When he meet him he changed his name from Simon to Cephas, which means stone. Peter was always speaking himself. He also denies Jesus, however Jesus restores him in John 21. He assigned Peter a role of shepherding God’s sheep. Peter played a major role in Caesarea Philippi, Matthew 16:13-20. Also, in John 6:60-71, only you have words of life. These disciples knew Jesus was the messiah and they were going to stick along his side. On this rock, Matthew 16:18, He had an important role in the building the church. Tradition say he was killed by Nero the Emperor, in Rome. 397AD 2nd peter was one of the last books to be accepted in the cannon of scripture. 2 Peter, Jude, Hebrews, Revelation.1st letter is written in great greek. Peter is going to speak about events in his life he remembers during his time with Jesus.
