1 Peter Chapters 1-5

In this episode, we read First Epistle of Peter chapters 1 through 5, where Saint Peter encourages believers to remain faithful and hopeful during suffering and hardship. Chapter 1 reminds believers of the living hope they have through the resurrection of Jesus Christ and calls them to live holy lives. Chapter 2 describes believers as a spiritual house and urges them to reflect Christ through honorable conduct. Chapters 3 and 4 focus on responding to suffering with humility, love, and perseverance while continuing to serve others faithfully. Peter encourages believers not to be ashamed of suffering for Christ but to trust God through every trial. In chapter 5, church leaders are instructed to shepherd God’s people faithfully, and all believers are encouraged to remain humble, alert, and steadfast in faith. 1 Peter 1–5 reminds us that even through suffering and challenges, believers are called to live with hope, holiness, humility, and unwavering trust in God.
