1 Samuel 17

from The Upper Room Fellowship Teaching Hosted by Joe Sutton

1 Samuel 17 Series: Samuel Teacher: Joe Sutton Date: 8th September 2024 Passage: 1 Samuel 17:1-58 ------------------- Our study this week is focused on 1 Samuel 17 and the battle between David and Goliath. Rather than a classic underdog story, we learn that this battle is a picture of Christ's once-for-all victory over Satan, and as the army of Israel was freed from slavery to Philistia by David, so we are saved from slavery to sin by the Son of David, Jesus Christ. In the sermon we watched an excerpt from Sergio & Rhoda's video on David and Goliath, which you can watch here.
