1 Samuel 2 - Audio

from Calvary Prineville · host Rory Rodgers

1 Samuel 2 begins with Hannah's worshipful prayer to God for His provision. Hannah was pleased to be able to offer her first born son to the Lord for His service, and her prayer displays that. Samuel continued to grow and serve in the House of the Lord, and the Lord blessed him as he ministered. In contrast, the sons of Eli the Priest were wickedly sinful, despising the sacrifices of the Lord, and sleeping with the women who would come to the tabernacle. Consequently, the Lord spoke to Eli and told him that He was going to wipe out Eli's entire household, because of the sin of his sons, and because Eli honored his sons above the Lord.
