1 Samuel 3

This week we explore the transformative power and vital necessity of God’s word in a dark world, based on 1 Samuel 3. Reflecting on the spiritual climate of Israel during a time when the word of the Lord was rare, we examine how God chose young Samuel to be his messenger—a role that points forward to the ministry of Jesus Christ. From the dangers of scorning God’s mercy to the hope found in his righteous judgment, this sermon challenges us to make scripture a priority, illustrating how consistent engagement with God's word is the primary catalyst for personal change and spiritual clarity.
