1 Thessalonians 1:3-4

People often say that they will get into heaven based on their good deeds. “I’m a nice person.” “I give to the poor.” “I volunteer at a food bank.” Works are great, but there’s more to getting to heaven than just simply being a good person and volunteering some of your time and energy. It takes faith. Faith and works go hand in hand, and today, Pastor Mark will teach you that it is a balancing act. You need both. Without faith, works are just empty humanitarian acts without any relationship with the father. Without works, you’re not following all of Jesus’s teachings. When you follow Jesus, your faith will generate good works.
