1 Timothy 6:17-19

1 Timothy 6:17–19 (ESV)  As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. 18 They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, 19 thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.     COMMANDS YOUR DISCERNMENT: WEALTH IS NOT YOUR HOPE AND IT IS NOT YOUR HINDRANCE…  (v17)   2 WARNINGS: A.    Do Not Be Haughty Proverbs 22:2 (ESV) — 2 The rich and the poor meet together; the Lord is the Maker of them all.       B.    DO Not Set Your Hope On The Uncertainty Of Riches Proverbs 18:11 (ESV) — 11 A rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and like a high wall in his imagination.
