Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 10 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this cloudy  Monday morning 10 October 2022, coming to you from paradise on the 180th  meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. In rugby – in the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Whangārei yesterday, Italy pizzaed USA 10-22, Canada sushied Japan 5-41 and Wales whizzed Scotland 15-18. Too many pies Team USA? The  Top two from each of three Pools, plus the best two after that go  through to the quarters. So Fijiana still has a chance although they are  now -65 points dif. In rugby league – top  Aussie NRL guru, Phil Gould has sparked a backlash in Britain, after  insisting England has no hope of defeating Toa Samoa when they play on  Saturday. Asked for his thoughts on the match, Gould brutally replied:  "England can't beat Samoa." England thrashed Fiji 50 nil last Saturday. In boxing – The  Gyspy King Tyson Fury says 'he will never fight Anthony Joshua ever'  after their failed negotiations. Fury insists it was Joshua's 'ego and  business interests i.e not to lose again, that prevented the fight from  going ahead later this year. In football – the Oxford English Dictionary now defines a famous metaphor - "Squeaky bum time" by Man U coaching icon, Sir Alex Ferguson as "a reference to the sound of someone shifting restlessly on plastic seating during tense closing stages of a contest." "Squeaky bum time" was coined by Sir Alex during a press conference in 2003 to describe the pressures of extreme competition in the league. And  the Gunners beat Liverpool this morning 3-2 so we can say that the Reds  Manager, JKlopp was facing a bit of squeaky bum time? Only in the USA - New York Yankees slugger, Aaron Judge launched into the history books this week when he hit his 62nd home run for the MLB season – a new record. Fans at the game had a one in 38,832 chance of catching the record-breaking baseball, which is expected to sell for up to US$3Million, now that American  sports memorabilia collector, JP Cohen put in a bid of $US2M for the  ball on behalf of a Yankees fan, who wishes to remain anonymous. Meanwhile the man who caught the ball, Corey Youmans, an investment banker and Texas Rangers fan from Dallas, is yet to respond.
