10-12-21: The importance of making lists

from SAX IN THE MORNING · host Steve Sax

I would love to hear from you, just send me text and let me know what you think of the podcast. One of the most basic tools used by successful and organized people is the “to do list.” Every night I make a “to do list” for the next day and I’ve done this for decades. It gives me a clear plan for my day from the moment I wake up. The reason to get in this habit is simple, if you don’t make a shopping list before going to the store you will always forget something you needed and you are likely to buy a bunch of stuff you didn't need. It’s exactly the same with your life, if you don’t have a list you will forget things you need to do and waste time on things you don’t need to be doing. So make daily lists as well as lists for what you need to do to achieve long term goals, because we all have thoughts in our head of what we need to do, they’re good intentions. But once you write them down, they become tasks you can complete. Remember, Sax in the Morning swag is now available on my Instagram site. Go to "Sax in the Morning" underscore podcast.
